Frequently Asked Questions
What happens after I make my Booking?

We will send the confirmation of your booking by email, confirming all details. Please check these to make sure that everything is correct and notify us if anything is incorrect.

You will need to complete a medical information form for your child, informing us of any additional needs they have. You will be able to access this in the ‘my booking’ section once you have signed up and logged into your account. Please ensure you complete this and email to hannah@steps-up.co.uk

Who will be caring for my child?

The welfare and safety of your child is our primary concern. Our Summer schools are managed and run by qualified specialist teachers.

On-site and off -site risk assessments are completed for all activities and procedures and each site has a fully qualified first aider at all times.

Children are supervised throughout the day, including break and lunch times.

Children will only be dismissed to walk home alone with written consent from Parents.

What does my child need to bring with them?

Your child should wear comfortable clothing and trainers to our summer school. We recommend that they don’t wear expensive clothes as they will be taking part in sports, art, graffiti, baking and other ‘messy’ activities.

Please provide and apply sun cream each morning. We will remind children to reapply at break and lunch time if the weather is nice.

We advise that children bring a hat if hot and a water proof jacket if wet.

Your child will need a packed lunch and water bottle each day.

    What shouldn’t my child bring?

Mobile phones are not allowed to be used in school and are brought in at their own risk. We understand that they may need their phone for walking to and from school ( with parental permission) but phones must be kept in personal bags during the day.

We advise that children do not bring any valuables such as watches, jewellery, iPads to school. Anything they do bring is at their own risk and such items are not insured by us or the school.
