STEPS UP limited?
STEPS UP Limited is an acronym for Specialist Teaching and Enrichment Programmes for Schools - Unlocking Potential.
STEPS UP Limited has been set up to provide a number of services for schools. The first services offered will be our Steps Up Summer Schools, after school clubs and staff training programmes.
We offer a fully comprehensive service tailored to meet the needs of the whole school community and to enhance the educational experience for your students.
We provide educational programmes and courses which add value to schools looking to attract new students as well as easing student’s transition from primary to secondary education.
What we offer
Summer schools
Our summer school’s success and reputation were founded on our genuine investment and commitment to provide high quality and varied workshops so as to appeal to all students’ interests whilst developing core skills needed for the classroom.
Our summer schools provide year 5 and 6 students with the opportunity to attend their local secondary school to experience the learning environment and meet new teachers and fellow students before they join the school.
Our activities inspire and enable all students to discover their hidden talents, increase confidence and prepare them for a successful move to secondary school.
Each session replicates the normal school day so students get used to the school timetable, as well as moving around the school in between lessons.
Staff at your school are employed to run workshops and activities to enable them get to know new students and form relationships before students start at your school.
STEPS UP provide a fully comprehensive service for schools and families. We have our own business insurance, public liability insurance, risk assessments and safety procedures and admin and communications team.

We are a brand new company with over 10 years ’experience teaching in schools and the performing arts industry. We are offering your school an unbeatable experience for an unbelievable price as one of the first schools to provide a Steps Up UK tour. Our courses and recreational visits for schools are tailored specifically to your needs. We will customise your tour to suit your requirements and fully support your visit from start to finish. Our comprehensive tours offer everything from fundraising assistance, group presentation and parent/ carer meetings, convenient payment plans, risk assessments and all insurances, as well as an exciting programme of daytime and evening activities for your staff and students.
Steps Up tours enhance students knowledge of the performing arts industry and provide first hand experience of what it would be like to start a career doing what they love!
We work with experienced industry professionals to provide all the advice and support your students need to break into this highly competitive industry.
Staff training
With the new 2019 Ofsted inspection framework focusing on pupils’ wider personal development, we aim to assist schools in increasing the opportunities children have to learn about being active, healthy and engaged citizens.
We offer bespoke in school staff training packages in Physical Education, Dance and Drama. We cater for all group sizes and provide a number packages to suit your schools training needs. From two-hour after school sessions to full day staff Inset training. All packages include 6 week electronic lesson plans and resources.
Physical education training covers KS1 games activities, KS2 games activities, KS1 tennis, KS2 tennis, KS1 gymnastics, KS2 gymnastics, KS1 athletics, KS2 athletics, KS1 striking and fielding, KS2 striking and fielding, Foundation curriculum, KS2 Junior sports Leadership.
Drama training tailored to KS1 and KS2 national curriculums. Workshops focus on both physical and vocal performance techniques, group work, choreography themes and costumes. Schemes of work focus on increasing children’s self – esteem and confidence through themed curriculum learning.
Dance training delivered to teachers of foundation stage, KS1 and KS2. Our schemes of work encourage emotional, social and cognitive development as well as creativity and physical health. Schemes of work are tailored to coincide with curriculum learning, themes and dance genres.

We will lease your school facilities for the STEPS UP Summer School which will provide extra income for the school.
Selected staff from your school will have the opportunity to earn additional money, by working with us. Teaching staff will be offered competitive rates of pay.

At STEPS UP we believe in providing breadth, balance and challenge across all learning.
We have developed a progressive curriculum from foundation through to KS4 which provides children with the knowledge and skills to move between the key stages with confidence. Our Physical education, dance and drama inset training days are engaging and motivating and will instil confidence in your teachers to enable them to deliver outstanding lessons. We can provide tailor made schemes of work that incorporate your schools assessment model and curriculum design.
